New Light Stabilizing Nano-Technology Improves Stain Performance 200-600%

Here at SaverSystems we have joint ventured with several companies to develop a new long lasting stain technology.  Our research efforts over the last year and a half have lead to a new development in the performance of exterior, semi-transparent wood finishes to protect your deck.

A newly developed nano-technology used in combination with our existing technology has been found to significantly increase the durability and weather resistance of our synthetic resin based deck stains. This new light stabilizing nano-technology actually works by blocking and absorbing the harmful UV rays from the sun that damage your wood.

Not only does this new technology help prevent wood from graying it also helps prevent water intrusion while resisting  fungal growth. The independent test results are in, and below are photo’s of the actual test boards which show how the new DEFY Extreme Wood Stain technology stacks up against the best selling national brands.

I tried the new Extreme on my deck…it’s way too soon to be sure how it’s going to hold up but it was certainly the easiest stain to apply that I’ve ever used. So much for all the stuff you hear about how hard waterborne stains are to apply. So far Extreme is a 5-star product in my book!

I am very excited about this new technology! I cannot wait to try this out on my deck next spring. I have been happy with the performance of the Defy Epoxy but if this is an improvement then I am sold!

Got my stain last Friday. I wanted to get it right this time because my last stain was a disaster, so I called the tech guys at Defy and they were VERY helpful and walked me through the process. I followed their advice and the job went smoothly and my deck looks FANTASTIC!
Now I wait to see how long it will last.

Just finished staining our deck with the new Defy Extreme… easiest stain application I’ve ever used. I look forward to next Spring to see just how well it holds up against all the rain we get in the Northwest. Keep your fingers crossed for me… because I’m sick of staining our deck every year!

I recently applied the stain to my deck. I found it to be very difficult to apply the stain because it is just like applying water to the wood surface. The stain is very thin and there is nothing in the stain to help it adhere to the brush bristles and the roller brush was just as bad. It just dripped off the brush easily. I had to just tip the brush into the stain to apply it. The horizontal boards were easy but applying the stain to vertical pickets and the undersides of the deck was extremely messy. The stain dried too quickly to clean up unwanted spills and sprays so it wouldn’t ruin the look. I think it would have been easier to spray it on but that would have require a specialized sprayer since a typical sprayer is not recommended. Don’t let it get on the plastic lenses of your eyeglasses. It does not come off easily. This product is just not for a typical DIY’er like me.
I do like the color. It looks orangey when applied but dries to a beautiful natural cedar color. I hope it lives up to the hype.
