STAINS |

Use
6 oz. (3/4 cup) of TimberWash Wood Cleaner, per gallon of water. Dampen
surface to be cleaned with water before application. Apply TimberWash
solution with sprayer, brush or mop. Let stand 20 minutes. Scrub and
then rinse well with a power washer. |

TANNIN
RUST STAINS |
|
Use
one part TimberBrite Wood Brightener to four parts water. Dampen surface
to be cleaned with water before application. Apply TimberBrite solution
with sprayer, brush, or mop. Let stand 15 minutes. Scrub and then
rinse well with water. |
|
|
|
GRILL
GREASE |
|
Use
a strong household degreaser, liquid dish detergent, or an automotive
degreaser; however, 100% stain removal is difficult. |
|
|
|
MILDEW
- MOLD - FUNGI |
|
Use
either TimberWash or TimberBrite for these stains, depending on the
type of wood substrate. TimberWash should be used on pines and TimberBrite
on redwoods and cedars. |

|
MILL
STAMPS |
|
Mill
Stamps cannot be removed with the use of solvents or cleaners. Sanding
is the most effective means of removal. |

|
|
PITCH-ROSIN-PINE
TAR-SAP |
|
First,
scrape excess material from the wood using a putty knife or steel
wool, then use turpentine to remove the rest of the stain. After cleaning,
any darkened area can be lightened by using TimberBrite Wood Brightener. |

PREVIOUS
STAINS-WATER REPELLENTS (NOT PAINT) |

Water
repellents and wood stains, but not paints, can be removed with the
use of TimberWash Wood Cleaner and a power washer. If a finish looks
questionable, test with TimberWash before proceeding. Painted surfaces
will need to be chemically stripped. |

DEFY
OVERSPRAY OR SPLATTER |

Use
plastic sheathing, masking tape, drop cloths, cardboard, etc. to protect
against drips, splatters, and overspray. Overspray that is still wet
can be cleaned with soap and water. Overspray, if allowed to dry,
may be very difficult to remove. |

MARKS, DRIPS, RUNS |

Wet
an abrasive pad with product and blend marks into surrounding surface
before product dries. |
